QUT recognises the demand on elite athletes through training and competition, and endeavors to provide student athletes with the same opportunity to excel in their studies as normal students. Over 150 elite athletes, represented across more than 50 different sports, are currently enrolled at QUT and registered with the program.

This scholarship has enabled me to concentrate not only on achieving
high levels of performance in the classroom but also in the pool. QUT
have also offered plenty of support in my studies which has allowed me
to focus on the Beijing Olympics.

Vice-Chancellor's Scholarships
Up to five scholarships are offered to students who excel in sport, and who
are also high academic achievers. Students must be competing at a national level
and will be considered for a scholarship if they have achieved an OP 1 to 5
(or equivalent interstate entry rank).

How to apply for scholarships
You can apply for as many scholarships for which you are eligible. You will
be awarded one scholarship, to which you are most appropriately suited.
Before applying, read the application form carefully to ensure that you include
all necessary information and documentation, and are aware of the closing and
notification dates.
Other Assistance
If you think you are eligible for a sporting scholarship you may also be eligible
for admission assistance in the form of bonus ops/ranks.
