Reece Clothier receives several scholarships from different organisations to support his PhD research .real experiences

I see my time at QUT as an investment in my future. I worked part-time to support myself during my undergraduate degree. In my PhD I am fortunate enough to be receiving a number of scholarships that allow me to focus more on my research and yet still have the time to go out and enjoy life. You need that balance no matter what you are studying.

CEED (Co-operative Education for Enterprise Development) Industry-based Research Scholarships

The CEED (Co-operative Education for Enterprise Development) Program is a form of education where part of the student's training is conducted in industry. This training is based on projects conducted on-site in industry or government. The project usually arises from a client's need to undertake R&D or improvement in an area for which it lacks available personnel or resources.

CEED provides companies, State and Local Government with a cost-effective alternative method to undertake this work. A project needs to be of sufficient difficulty and suitable scope to be reported as a final year class project, Honours or Master's thesis while, at the same time, meeting the needs of the corporate agenda.

The CEED program actively seeks out research topics in industry and generates scholarships for these studies.
